If you are registering on behalf of another person, you confirm that you have authority to bind that individual to these terms and that the individual is at least 18 years of age.
3. Services
Ironquill offers financial education courses for adults aged 40 and above, currently including the following programmes:
- Plain Reading of a Payslip and EPF Statement — RM 690
- The Honest Cost of Borrowing in Midlife — RM 1,420
- Long-Term Care Planning Without Anxiety — RM 2,250
Course schedules, formats, and delivery modes are communicated at the time of enrolment. Ironquill reserves the right to adjust course content, format, or schedule where necessary, and will notify enrolled participants of any material change in advance.
Ironquill's courses are educational in nature. They do not constitute financial advice, tax advice, legal advice, or any other form of regulated professional advice. Participants are encouraged to seek appropriate professional advice for their personal circumstances.
4. Enrolment
Enrolment is confirmed upon receipt of full payment and issuance of a written confirmation from Ironquill. Places are allocated in the order in which confirmed payments are received. Ironquill reserves the right to decline enrolment at its discretion.
Participants are responsible for ensuring that they have the practical prerequisites for the course they enrol in — for example, access to their own payslip and EPF statement for the payslip course.
5. Payment
Course fees are quoted and payable in Malaysian Ringgit (RM). Payment methods accepted are communicated at the time of enrolment. Full payment is required before the course commencement date unless an alternative arrangement has been agreed in writing with Ironquill.
All fees are inclusive of course materials unless stated otherwise in the course description.
6. Cancellation & Refunds
6.1 Cancellation by Participant
If you wish to withdraw from a course after enrolment, please notify us in writing at legal@{{DOMAIN} at the earliest opportunity.
- Cancellation more than fourteen days before the course start date: a full refund will be issued, less any reasonable administrative costs incurred.
- Cancellation between seven and fourteen days before the course start date: a 50% refund will be issued.
- Cancellation fewer than seven days before the course start date: no refund will be issued, though transfer to a future cohort may be considered at Ironquill's discretion.
6.2 Cancellation by Ironquill
If Ironquill cancels a course, enrolled participants will be offered a full refund or a transfer to a future cohort. Ironquill is not liable for any costs incurred by participants as a result of a cancellation beyond the course fee itself.
7. Participant Conduct
Participants are expected to engage with courses respectfully. Ironquill reserves the right to remove a participant from a session if their conduct disrupts other participants or the facilitator, without refund.
Participants must not record any session — audio, video, or otherwise — without the written consent of Ironquill.
8. Intellectual Property
All course materials — including workbooks, annotated samples, slides, and any written or recorded content — remain the property of Ironquill. Participants are granted a personal, non-transferable, non-commercial licence to use materials for their own private study.
Materials may not be reproduced, distributed, shared, sold, or used in any commercial context without the prior written consent of Ironquill.
9. Disclaimers
Ironquill's courses are provided for educational purposes only. Ironquill does not make any representation that completion of a course will lead to any particular financial outcome, improvement in financial position, or change in any individual circumstance.
The content of Ironquill courses reflects general educational material relevant to Malaysian adults and is not a substitute for advice from a licensed financial planner, solicitor, or other regulated professional. Participants should not make significant financial decisions based solely on course content without consulting an appropriate professional.
Ironquill's services are provided in good faith on the basis of information available at the time of delivery. We do not warrant that all content is free from error, and we reserve the right to update material as circumstances change.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted under Malaysian law, Ironquill's total liability to a participant in connection with a course, whether in contract, tort, or otherwise, shall not exceed the course fee paid by that participant.
Ironquill shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or special loss, including loss of income, financial loss, or loss of opportunity, arising from participation in or reliance on any course content.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Ironquill, its staff, and its facilitators harmless from any claim, loss, or expense arising from your breach of these terms, your conduct during a course, or your misuse of course materials.
12. Termination
Ironquill may terminate a participant's enrolment if the participant breaches these terms or behaves in a manner that is disruptive or harmful to other participants or staff. In such circumstances, no refund will be issued.
Provisions relating to intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability shall survive any termination of enrolment.
13. Governing Law & Disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute arising in connection with these terms shall be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia, with Kuching, Sarawak as the preferred seat of any proceedings.
We encourage any participant with a concern to contact us at legal@{{DOMAIN} in the first instance so that we may attempt to resolve the matter informally.
14. General Provisions
These terms, together with any enrolment confirmation, constitute the entire agreement between Ironquill and the participant in respect of the course enrolled in. If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in force.
Failure by Ironquill to enforce any provision of these terms shall not constitute a waiver of that provision. These terms may not be assigned by a participant without the written consent of Ironquill.
15. Updates to These Terms
We may revise these terms from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the current version. Changes will be communicated to enrolled participants by email where material. Continued participation in a course after any revision constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
